As smartphones become an ever-increasingly important segment of the overall mobile phone market, more attention is being focused on the software that runs on these devices – namely, the operating system, the applications and the services. In a very short period of time, 3rd party applications have become all the rage, and the heavy hitters in the smartphone OS space are vying for the attention of these application developers.
Android Debugging Using Lauterbach Trace32 Software
Today I will briefly go over my thoughts on Android debugging using Lauterbach Trace32 software. This blog entry attempts to introduce a possible method of Trace32 JTAG debugging to developers working with the Linux kernel or Android framework and is generally not targeted towards application developers. Also, depending upon your specific use case and experience, you should check out various other opensource debugging tools like remote gdb.
Android Team at Qualcomm Innovation Center
In my five years working as an Engineer in San Diego, the most recent year working at Qualcomm Innovation Center, Inc. (QuIC), a subsidiary of Qualcomm Incorporated, has been the most exciting time for me. Mobile technology is creeping into new consumer devices and new 3rd party OS’s are coming up, along with a ton of new mobile apps. It feels good to work at QuIC and to get to be a part of all these developments in some way or the other.
